Scene 6: The Sickness

*After Gohan takes Goku home after being enslaved by Carros, Chi-Chi makes Goku go to bed to rest...  Because he's still weak, she's not letting him out until he's better......*
Heidi:  “You guys can continue doing your things…  I’ll watch Goku.”
Chi-Chi:  “Heidi, you’d better keep a close on him…  He might try to sneak out.....  You might have to keep a frying pan handy....”
Heidi:  “Nah, I'm not gonna hit him this time...”
Goku:  “Oh, good....  I'm scared of the frying pan!!!!”
Heidi:  “After what you’ve been through, I don’t think I could use the pan on you for a while...”
Goku:  “It hurts and it gives me nightmares....”
Gohan:  “Lucky him...You'll still use it on me.....”
Heidi:  "Oh yeah, you might want to run for being such a baka during the battles... you didn't even help me a bit."
Gohan:  “I will and you won't catch me either...”  *takes off at the speed of light*
Heidi:  "Who said I was going to chase you?"
Gohan:  “Because I know you're going to hit me and you'll have to catch in order to do so...”
Goku *snickering*:  “Hee-hee-hee!!!  Gohan watch it, she might smack you now!”
Heidi:  "Baka...  I can't chase you anyway, ChiChi's gonna be mad if I leave Goku..."
Gohan:  “You're right..Mom will get mad...”
Goku:  “I got a headache…  Please go away and let me sleep.......”
*then he passes out nearly giving Heidi a heart attack because she thinks something's wrong...*
*Heidi takes Goku's hand and presses it against her cheek*
Heidi:  "I'll be right here when you wake up Goku-chan...  Which I hope you do..." Gohan:  “Dad's sick, isn't he?  When we brought him home he had a fever....”
Heidi *puts a hand on Goku's forehead*:  "Yeah... a bit...  But it shouldn't be that bad...  Gohan, could you go get me a cold wet cloth?"
Gohan:  “Sure....”  *goes into the bathroom to find one*
Gohan:  “Mom, where did you put the towels at?  I can't find any…”
Chi Chi:  “Try looking in the linen closet...”
Gohan:  “Linen closet?  I didn't know we had a linen closet..”
Chi Chi:  “Gohan you are just as bad as your father...  You forget things a lot...  It's where we keep our towels and other stuff like that..”
Gohan:  “Oh... I am really becoming like my father.....”
*Gohan finds one and comes back after he wets it with cold water...*
Heidi:  "Thanks Gohan..."  *folds the towel and places it on Goku's forehead*
*Goku moans in his sleep from the fever...*
*and then Shinryu appears in the room...*
Heidi:  "Shinryu, something wrong?  Is Carros after Goku again?"
Shinryu:  “No..  Carros has been sealed in his dark world by Goriko..  Hopefully, the spell will keep him there.  Goriko sends his regrets.  He would help if he could be he can't come though…”
Heidi:  "Help? For what?"
Shinryu:  “That he could make Goku better...”
Heidi:  "What's wrong with him? Side effect of being under Carros's control?"
Shinryu:  “I think so…  Before I came here Goriko said that Goku was ill and he thinks it was because of Carros...”
Heidi:  "Has this ever happened to any victims you've saved from Carros?"
Shinryu:  “I'm afraid it depends on what Carros has done to them...  Some of them were cursed and there wasn't anything we could have done to help....  Also, although I hate to say this, have died....”
*Heidi stares at Shinryu, speechless*
Shinryu:  “Remember, Carros is the God of Death, Darkness, and Evil....  The things he does is horrible...  But keep a close eye on Goku…  If he gets worse than he already is then say my name and I'll come...”
Heidi:  "Alright...  Oh wait...  Do you think we can use the Dragonballs to help Goku?"
Shinryu:  “I don't think so…  I'm not sure that the dragon could handle something like this since it deals with the gods....”
Heidi *sweatdrops*:  "Oh yeah...  But really, all we can do is sit here and watch Goku?"
Shinryu:  “Yes...  Most of the victims eventually recover on their own....”
Heidi:  "I see...  Alright...  Thanks for the info Shinryu...  And um...  Sorry for being so stubborn earlier..." *looks back at Goku*
Shinryu:  “That's alright..  I'm used to it....  The Saiyans I have to put with sometimes... like Darkstar...  He never has liked me..  But then again, he doesn't like very many people to begin with..  He's more of a loner...”
Heidi:  "I see... same with me... Alone... something i'm used to... That's why I don't want to lose Goku, or anyone... I'm used to being alone, but I don't like it..."
Shinryu:  “Well, if Darkstar is ever around here, ask him about being alone..  He's been alone most of his life..  It's sad really..  I most leave you to tend to Goku..  I'll see sometime again..  Good bye..”
Heidi:  "Alright, see ya around Shinryu.  Thanks for everything you and Goriko have done for us..."
Shinryu:  “Always glad to help someone in need..”  *then disappears*
Heidi *squeezes Goku's hand*:  "Please get better Goku... I don't want to lose you too."
*Goku wakes up for a moment when he heard Heidi say something*
Goku *with a weak voice*:  “Who were you talking to?”
Heidi *lies*:  "Shinryu...  He um... visited to see if things were okay...  And um...  I said everything was fine.... and we chatted a bit before he left..."
Goku:  “Oh ok...”  *sighs*  “I don't feel so good...”
Heidi *puts a hand on Goku's cheek*:  "Just rest.  I'll be right here if you need me Goku-chan..."
Goku:  “Ok....”  *then slowly drifts back into sleep*
Heidi:  "Gohan... do you think Goku will... um... you-know..."
Gohan:  “No!!! Don't even think that! I've lost him so many times...  I won't lose him again!”
Heidi:  "I know just how you feel... but there is still that possibility...  I wonder if there is a way that we can help..."
Gohan:  “You heard Shinryu..  There's nothing we can do...  Unless, you know someone who can...
